A region and great town with a deep and storied history- from the Celts to the Anglo-Saxons to the Romans and then Germanic tribes. Established in the 1300s. A few churches, a protective wall around the town, fountains, the first producer of Sekt (German champagne), the second oldest bridge in Germany, and beautiful examples of Fachwerk. A rainy day but a great tour guide! Thank you!
